Tata Power and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEM) have inaugurated two new ultra-fast electric vehicle charging stations along National Highway-65 in Telangana, strengthening charging infrastructure for EV users travelling between Hyderabad and Vijayawada. The new stations have been established at Vivera Junction in Narketpalle, featuring two 120-kW DC fast chargers, and at 7 Midway Plaza in Suryapet, which is equipped with a 240-kW DC fast charger with dual dispensers. Developed in collaboration with Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, the facilities are part of the co-branded TATA.ev MegaCharger Hub network.
Strengthening Intercity EV Charging
The new charging hubs are aimed at improving accessibility for passenger and commercial EV users travelling along NH-65, a key corridor connecting Hyderabad, Vijayawada and other major industrial and commercial centres in South India. With the latest additions, Tata Power now operates more than 150 charging points across Telangana. The newly commissioned stations also expand TPEM's TATA.ev MegaCharger network, which has crossed 750 charging points across major cities and highways in India. Many of these chargers can be accessed through the Tata Power EZ Charge mobile application.
Tata Power Expands National Charging Footprint
Tata Power's EZ Charge network currently includes more than 2.3 lakh home chargers, over 6,500 public, semi-public and fleet charging points, and more than 1,200 e-bus charging points across over 690 cities and towns. The network serves more than five lakh registered customers and covers a wide range of locations, including highways, hotels, malls, hospitals, offices, residential complexes and commercial vehicle depots. The expansion comes as electric vehicle adoption in India continues to increase, placing greater emphasis on the availability of fast and reliable charging infrastructure, particularly along key intercity routes.
